Douglas Hansel-Pauly Douglas Hansel-Pauly is a Building Science Consultant, Rater/Verifier, and IAQ Specialist. His first career was in healthcare as a Respiratory Therapist and Clinical Educator specializing in Neonatal and Adult Intensive Care. This lasted from 1997 until 2016 at which point, he hung up my stethoscope and picked up a manometer. He worked as a Rater/Verifier and energy analyst for an insulation company in Bend, OR, and was fortunate to work on some unique projects from helping air sealing and IAQ pedal for a LBC home to determining the leakage rate of a tank and completing several blower door tests on US Military tanks.
